World Cup Manager 2002


The World Cup is probably the largest festival of sport outside of the Olympics, and it is once again upon us. You know the players from every country, you know who you'd pick if you were manager, and you know you're choices would obviously be better than any manager will make this summer. Well, perhaps you can show how right you are by winning the ultimate football trophy in World Cup Manager 2002.

This is my first proper Java game that I have finished, and I believe the outcome is very good. With a full squad of players for every country in the competition, each with numerous statistics (both visible and hidden) it is your job to take your favourite country to World Cup victory!

Whether you take control of the great Argentinians, the injury struck English or the underdogs of China or Senegal, all the players are there, and the chance for superiority is there as well.

To play the release version click on the main link below to download the game (at under 300 Kilobytes). Unfortunately, if you use this you'll probably also have to download the 7 megabyte support programme, which includes all the dlls you'll need. This can be found be clicking here

However, if you are a developer and have the java 1.3 SDK on your system you can download the beta version which is under quarter of a megabtye by clicking here. This is the same game as the full version, it just requires to SDK to run.
