The second you set eyes on this game it looks great and suddenly the memories of the classic Sonic games by Sega come streaming back, particularly the future worlds. But why is the screen so darn small? Perhaps that is why it looks so good...?
For a game that promises so much, including lots of large levels, it unfortunately plays so wrong. From missing the classic abilities of being able to launch yourself as a spinning ball from standstill through to the rate of speed that his jumps suddenly turn in to falls.
A lot of effort has obviously been put in to this game which is a shame. It could have been very good but in the end turns out to be very average at best. So Sonic fans I suggest you click on the Platform link on the side and try Sonic Action instead which I think is much more like the original series.
